This Cookies Policy explains how TuneInNow uses cookies and similar storage on https://tuneinnow.pro/. A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep. Local storage is a similar slot in the browser. We use as little of this machinery as we can because the Site is a reading desk, not an app. This page is meant to be readable without a law degree and without JavaScript. The banner still needs JavaScript to record a clicked choice; with scripts off, you can still read every article and still use Listen on Spotify as a normal link.
1. What we set
After you choose Accept, Reject optional, or Save preferences, we store a first-party cookie named sg_listen_consent with a JSON-like record of your choice, a version number, and a timestamp. We may mirror that record in local storage so that a strict browser still remembers the choice on the same device. The cookie is set for up to 180 days. It is not an advertising identifier. It does not contain your name, email, or Spotify password.
2. Categories
Essential. Remembering that you have seen the banner and what you chose, plus whatever the host needs to deliver HTTPS pages. You cannot switch essential storage off in the banner because the Site would then nag you forever or break basic delivery.
Functional. Optional extras that are not required to read. We do not currently add a font CDN or a live chat. If we later add a functional extra, it will be listed here and in the banner.
Analytics. Optional measurement. We do not currently load a third-party analytics script. The banner still shows the category so that a future addition cannot hide. Until we add such a script, ticking analytics does nothing except record that you would have allowed it.
3. Third parties you might meet
Google Maps on contact.php is an iframe. If you use the map, Google may set cookies according to Google’s policies. You can skip the map and still call or email us. Spotify embeds on the listen page, and the Listen on Spotify buttons, take you to Spotify’s service. Spotify’s cookies are Spotify’s. We do not read them. Rejecting optional cookies on our banner does not log you out of Spotify.
4. How to change your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer. That re-opens the banner. You can also delete cookies for this domain in your browser. If you block all cookies, the banner may appear again on each visit. That is expected. The articles remain available.
5. Why a banner exists
Visitors should not have to hunt for a choice. The banner is a dialog at the bottom of the viewport with three actions: accept all, reject optional, and customise. Contrast is high. Buttons are real button elements, not empty links. We believe that is the honest version of consent for a small editorial site that only needs to remember a preference and that may load a map.
6. Browser controls
You can block cookies in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari for this domain. You can also use a tracking-protection list. If you do, our banner may reappear, and the map iframe may show a placeholder instead of tiles. The Listen on Spotify buttons remain ordinary links. They do not require our cookie. They may still trigger cookies on Spotify after the new tab opens, which is outside this policy.
7. Duration and refresh
The preference cookie lasts up to 180 days or until you delete it. Saving a new choice overwrites the old record. We do not silently extend the cookie by tracking every page view. A new visit after expiry shows the banner again. That is the intended loop: a clear choice, a memory of the choice, then a reminder if the memory is gone.
